Journal - The Dalcy
The visuals from this wedding deserve a standing ovation. The hotel, the outfits, the food, the venue, the flowers? I almost had to ask someone to pinch me. We started the day in matching pajamas at the gorgeous Nobu hotel in Chicago. Everyone was feeling great, and having tons of fun laughing about the glamorous giant golden taco light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. We then let the bride and groom share an emotional first look before we were off to the venue. Walking into the Dalcy was truly an out of body experience. Flowers and candles were absolutely everywhere, and the smell of all the food was irresistible. It was practically torture not being able to snag one of the hors d'oeuvres while the waitstaff was buzzing around cocktail hour with perfectly manicured platters. One of my favorite parts of the day was the ketubah signing. The room was filled with all of their closest family and friends for one of the most intimate and meaningful parts of the day, and you could feel the love radiating off of everyone. The ceremony was magical, cocktail hour was a blast, and they had a lovely east coast style reception with a dance floor full of people jamming out between every course. I made sure to take one last look before I left at the end of the night, because I knew I’d want to remember this one!
